Hi, I’m Lee
I run Sheet Leveller on YouTube, where I make quick, no-nonsense Excel tutorials.
This tracker uses the SUMIFS, INDEX and MATCH formulas from my tutorials, so everything adds itself up.
Questions
Are prices updated automatically?
No. Type the latest price on the Holdings tab whenever you check in. Monthly is plenty, and it only takes a couple of minutes.
Does it link to my broker?
No. Nothing is connected to your accounts. You log trades and dividends yourself, from your statements.
Can I use it for taxes?
It tracks your average cost, but for tax reporting use the figures your broker provides.
Is this investment advice?
No. It tracks what you own and doesn’t recommend anything to buy or sell. The example holdings and prices are made up.
Does it use macros?
No. It’s a normal .xlsx file, so there are no security warnings and nothing to enable.
Which versions of Excel does it work with?
Microsoft 365, Excel 2010 or later on Windows, and Excel for Mac. It’s built for Microsoft Excel.
Is this a subscription?
No. You pay once and the file is yours to keep.
See your whole portfolio, clearly.
Holdings, gains, dividends and income, all in one file.
