Sound familiar?

When someone dies, the paperwork lands on one person

🗂️

Where are the papers?

Wills, policies, deeds and passwords are spread across drawers, email and memory.

📞

Accounts nobody knew about

Bills, subscriptions and online accounts keep charging until someone finds them.

💭

Wishes that got lost

What the person wanted for their funeral and their care is hard to find when it matters.

How it works

Fill it in once. Your family knows where to look.

  1. Start with the Summary

Add the basics about the person, the people to contact and the key documents. The totals update as you type.

  2. Record assets, debts and bills

Enter each account, property, loan and subscription. Joint items are split by share, so the figures are right.

  3. Share it with family

Keep the file in OneDrive and share it with the people who need it. Nothing is linked to your bank.

Summary

Totals that add themselves up

Assets, debts, the net estate and what is left to share are worked out from your entries. Nothing to calculate by hand.

  • Assets and debts by ownership
  • Funeral costs and specific gifts included
  • A clear note that it is an estimate

  • Bills and online accounts
  • Room for more rows wherever you need them

  • Where important papers are kept

Helping a parent

Gather the details your family will need when the time comes.

Questions

Do I need to connect my bank?

No. You type in what you need to record. Nothing is linked to your accounts.

Does it store passwords or PINs?

No. The file asks you to record where passwords and PINs are kept, not the passwords themselves.

Does it use macros?

No. It’s a normal .xlsx file, so there are no security warnings and nothing to enable.

Which version of Excel do I need?

Excel 2016, Microsoft 365 or a more recent version. It is an Excel file, not a Google Sheets file.

Is this a subscription?

No. You pay once and the file is yours to keep.

Is it legal or financial advice?

No. It’s an organiser to help you record information. It doesn’t replace advice from a solicitor, accountant or other adviser.
