Hi, I’m Lee
I run Sheet Leveller on YouTube, where I make quick, no-nonsense Excel tutorials.
This tracker uses the COUNTIFS, SUMIFS and INDEX formulas from my tutorials, so your stats update the moment you finish a book.
Questions
Do I start a new file every year?
No. Keep every book on one Books tab. The Dashboard shows this year, and you can change the year to look back.
Does it work for audiobooks?
Yes. Pick Audiobook as the format and type the page count of the print edition, or leave pages blank.
Can I import my books from another app?
If your app exports a spreadsheet, you can copy the titles, authors and dates straight in.
Does a book I didn’t finish count?
No. Mark it Did not finish and it won’t count toward your goal.
Does it use macros?
No. It’s a normal .xlsx file, so there are no security warnings and nothing to enable.
Which versions of Excel does it work with?
Microsoft 365, Excel 2010 or later on Windows, and Excel for Mac. It’s built for Microsoft Excel.
Is this a subscription?
No. You pay once and the file is yours to keep.
Your best reading year starts here.
