Funerals bring a lot of decisions and bills, all at once

🗓️

Too much to decide

Venue, celebrant, music, flowers and the order of service, often in a few days.

🧾

Bills from every direction

The funeral director, fees and notices arrive at different times, from different people.

🤔

Who has paid what?

Without a record, it is hard to know what is still owed and what the estate or a plan will cover.

How it works

Set the plan once. Log each cost as it arrives.

  1. Plan the service

Record the date, time, venue, celebrant, music and flowers, with the funeral director’s services.

  2. Log every cost

Add each bill when it arrives and mark it paid when it’s settled, including costs a plan or insurance covers.

  3. See what’s left

The summary shows what is still to pay and what is left to spend against your budget.

Costs and who paid

Every bill, and who paid it

Add each cost once. Choose who paid it, and the totals by category update for you.

  • Personally, from the estate, a funeral plan, insurance or other
  • Mark costs paid when they are settled
  • Tip at the top of every section

Questions

Do I need to connect my bank?

No. You type in what you spend, or paste it from your statement. Nothing is linked to your accounts.

Can I track costs paid by a funeral plan or insurance?

Yes. Choose the plan or insurance as the payer. Those costs are not counted as still to pay once they are marked paid.

Can I change the currency?

Yes. Choose your currency and wording on the Welcome sheet.

Does it use macros?

No. It’s a normal .xlsx file, so there are no security warnings and nothing to enable.

Which version of Excel do I need?

Excel 2016, Microsoft 365 or a more recent version. It is an Excel file, not a Google Sheets file.

Is this a subscription?

No. You pay once and the file is yours to keep.

Plan the service with the costs under control.

The service, the gathering and every bill, in one Excel file.
