Hi, I’m Lee
I run Sheet Leveller on YouTube, where I make quick, no-nonsense Excel tutorials.
This tracker is built on the SUMIFS and date formulas from my tutorials, so your books add themselves up.
Questions
Is this accounting software?
No. It’s a simple Excel tracker for income, expenses and profit. It doesn’t do invoices, payroll or sales tax.
Will it work outside the US?
Yes. Rename the categories and ignore the US tax dates, or use the set-aside with your own dates.
How much should I set aside for tax?
That depends on you. 25% to 30% is a common starting point, but ask an accountant for your number. This isn’t tax advice.
Can I use it for 2028?
Yes. Change the year on the Settings tab and start a fresh copy.
Does it use macros?
No. It’s a normal .xlsx file, so there are no security warnings and nothing to enable.
Which versions of Excel does it work with?
Microsoft 365, Excel 2010 or later on Windows, and Excel for Mac. It’s built for Microsoft Excel.
Is this a subscription?
No. You pay once and the file is yours to keep.
Know your numbers.
