Questions
Can I add my logo?
Yes. Unprotect the Invoice tab (Review > Unprotect Sheet), then Insert > Pictures and place it top right.
How do I send it?
File > Save as PDF (or Print > Microsoft Print to PDF), then attach the PDF to an email.
Do I need to charge sales tax?
Only if your business does. Set a default rate on the Settings tab, or leave it at 0%. Check your state’s rules if you’re not sure.
I bill by the hour. Which one should I get?
If you track hours and want an hours log, the Freelancer Hours & Invoice Log is built for that. This one is for making invoices by the project or item.
Does it use macros?
No. It’s a normal .xlsx file, so there are no security warnings and nothing to enable.
Which versions of Excel does it work with?
Microsoft 365, Excel 2010 or later on Windows, and Excel for Mac. It’s built for Microsoft Excel.
